Our Mission
As individuals and families find housing through LiHi’s tiny home camps and permanent supportive buildings all across King County, our mission is meet with these communities to provide them with the individualized resources to help them step from one accomplishment to the next.
Whether our stepping stones come in the form of furniture, housing essentials, professional clothes, groceries, or kids supplies, we are dedicated to encourage and support these communities as they are building a new life and new world.
The Solution
1World1Sky is partnering with LiHi – Low Income Housing Institute. The Low Income Housing Institute develops, owns, and operates housing for the benefit of low-income, homeless, and formerly homeless people to assist in maintaining stable housing and increasing their self-sufficiency. 1World1Sky has designed a program, Stepping Stones, that will work hand-in-hand with LiHi and provide individualized help and deeper connections with those who coming from the street and stepping up into stable housing.
Meet our Permanent Housing Communities
Dockside Apartments
In Dockside apartments, 90% of the residents have transitioned from being homeless, to transitional housing, and into these units. Each room includes a small kitchenette, closet, bathroom, and living area for a twin bed, small table, and 3-drawer dresser. The building has an outside area on the roof for the residents, as well as a community lounge where events are held. Our partnership allows us to connect with 78 individuals & couples to provide them with living essentials and other resources!
Martins Court Transitional Building
Martins Court is a transitional housing building that consists of a individuals and couples who are taking their first steps into stable housing. Many are coming from local encampments or LiHi’s tiny home transitional units, and through this transition, they are given resources, assistance, and safety. Our partnership with this community allows us to connect with 50 residents who are in need of living essentials and necessities.
